Coverage
RegaaS reviews labels for food, dietary supplements and cosmetics sold in the United States, and for food (excluding food supplements) and cosmetics sold in the European Union. Where a product sold in the United States is both a cosmetic and an over-the-counter drug, such as a sunscreen or an anti-dandruff shampoo, RegaaS reviews the cosmetic labeling requirements. The Drug Facts panel and the applicable OTC monograph requirements fall outside the review.
RegaaS does not cover meat, poultry and egg products under USDA jurisdiction, alcoholic beverages regulated by TTB, organic and bioengineered food disclosures, country-of-origin marking, state weights-and-measures rules, or FTC advertising rules. The service reviews labeling only, and does not assess manufacturing or facility compliance.
RegaaS currently checks a label against the provisions listed below, for the product type and market you select. It does not check every rule that may apply to a label.
| Market | Product type | Regulations checked |
|---|---|---|
| United States | Food | 21 CFR Part 101, together with the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act, and the major food allergen requirements of FD&C Act § 403(w) |
| United States | Dietary supplements | 21 CFR Part 101, including Supplement Facts under 21 CFR 101.36, and the domestic address or telephone number required by FD&C Act § 403(y) |
| United States | Cosmetics | 21 CFR Parts 701 and 740, the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act, and the labeling provisions of the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 |
| European Union | Food | Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 on food information to consumers, Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 on nutrition and health claims together with the permitted claims listed in Regulation (EU) No 432/2012, and Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 on novel foods together with the Union list in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/2470 |
| European Union | Cosmetics | Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, including Annexes II to VI, and Regulation (EU) No 655/2013 on common criteria for claims |
Each finding cites the rule or source document on which it relies. Checks are based on the consolidated text of each regulation as in force on the date shown in the report. The scope of each regulation, and what falls outside it, is set out at Regulations covered.
How it works and accuracy
Yes. RegaaS is designed for people without a regulatory background. A report explains the issues it finds in plain language, can include suggested wording, and points to the rule or source document each issue relies on, so you or an adviser can check it.
Suggested wording is a starting point, not approved text. Have a qualified regulatory professional review your label before it goes to market.
Yes. RegaaS can read label text in many languages, and reports are available in English. However, RegaaS does not verify whether your label meets the language requirements of each EU Member State. Please confirm separately that your label uses the language(s) required in every country where the product is sold.
No, RegaaS does not replace a qualified regulatory professional. It is an AI-assisted first-pass review.
Results can be wrong or incomplete: the AI can misread a label, miss a requirement, cite the wrong rule or flag something that does not apply. A report with no findings does not mean a label complies. Findings point to the rule they rely on, so you can check them against the source.
A RegaaS review is not legal advice and not a guarantee that a label complies or that any authority will accept a product. Have a qualified regulatory professional review your label before it goes to market.
If a finding in a paid review misstates the regulation it cites, or applies a requirement that does not apply to your product, you may be eligible for a refund of that review under the conditions in the Refund Policy.
Plans and payment
Each account includes 3 free full reviews on RegaaS Pro, the free plan, with the same checks as paid reviews. Free reviews are a one-time allowance and do not reset.
After that, Pay As You Go reviews are currently $169 each, in USD excluding tax, with no subscription; the price that applies is the one shown on Pricing at the time of purchase. Enterprise plans are priced by separate agreement.
In some cases. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy. In summary:
- Unused purchased credits: refundable on request within 14 days of purchase. After that they are no longer refundable, but they stay on your account and do not expire.
- Completed reviews: not refundable, except where a finding misstates the regulation it cites or applies a requirement that does not apply to your product. Email service@vescir.com from your account's email address within 14 days of the review, with the analysis ID and the finding you believe is wrong. A judgement you disagree with, a rule that changed after the review, or an unreadable or incomplete label image is not covered.
- Free reviews: not refundable.
- Charges made in error or twice: refunded in full.
Data and privacy
RegaaS does not use your uploads to train or fine-tune its own models. To produce a review, your label images and the text extracted from them are sent to AI model providers based in the United States, including OpenRouter, Google and Anthropic. These providers handle the data under their own terms and may keep inputs for limited periods, for example to monitor for abuse.
RegaaS's cloud servers are in Japan. Personal data is also processed in Taiwan, where the company is based, and in the United States by service providers.
Uploads and analysis results are kept until you ask for them to be deleted. Removing a report from your History in the app does not delete the underlying files. To request deletion, email service@vescir.com from your account's email address; deletion is completed within one month of verifying the request. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. See the Privacy Policy.
